Blue Bear Brewery

Our first brewing experiences were very humble indeed and involved very strange and various pieces of equipment. In fact putting the kettle on during the 'mashing' time involved a lot of skullduggery on my behalf. Couple this with a galley kitchen and you have a recipe for trouble.

It was during a one of these 'interesting' evening that Jason blurted out how amazing it would be to have our own brewery. This was not me with great enthusiasm at the time I admit, but as the years went by the idea grew on me. I couldn't help but feel passionate about something that was hand-crated and had such an impact on our social culture and (her story for the record).

We take pride in our beer and it's lack of additives and preservatives.
It's 100% natural and made with just malt, hops, yeast and water,
delivered to you with pride.

In February 2006 we shipped a ten-barrel brewery from Yorkshire to Kempsey on an artic lorry, Ha ha what fun! After numerous late nights and weekends, we started production in June.

So here we are producing beer in a potato store that was built by the Anstey Family's Great Grandad with knock-out views of the Malverns - Heaven indeed!

White Bear

White Bear — 4.5% ABV Premium Bitter

Golden premium ale, full-bodied with an effervescent fruit character, blended with three hops to leave a smooth mouth feel of citrus on the palate.

Wanderlust

Wanderlust — 3.8% ABV Bitter

Straw-coloured, this beer is recognised for its palate of biscuit tones. Refreshingly hoppy, enabled by the marriage of Fuggles and Brewers Gold, the floral finish is in harmony with every season.

Roar Spirit

Roar Spirit —4.2% ABV Premium Bitter

Amber-coloured tenacious beer, brewed to give a rounded malted flavour Add to this the balanced bitterness of Brewers Gold and Bramling hops and this Real Ale really does charm a spicy, blackcurrant aftertaste.

Uproar

Uproar — 5.0% ABV Pilsner

Golden and smooth, this Bohemian style pilsner is brewed with bottom fermenting yeast and traditional Saaz hops to give a well balanced flavour and light bitter finish with a mouth watering edge.
